Jos Bascourt

Jos Bascourt born in Schaerbeek on September 15, 1863, died in Antwerp on February 6, 1927.

Studied at the Royal Academy of Antwerp in 1880, from the age of 17, then designed a first house for his aunt in 1887, in neo-Gothic style. The development of the Zurenborg district will give him the perfect opportunity to reveal his great creativity.

He will build more than 25 Art Nouveau style houses in this district, including the famous and splendid group of the Four Seasons in 1899.
