Large corner house, designed by Jos Bascourt in 1907 for the coal merchant De Boeck-Verhofstede.
This was the last Art Nouveau achievement of the architect who then returned to neo-classicism and neo-Renaissance.
Astonishing construction all in brick and white stone, where we find the distinctive elements of Bascourt's creations including the Moorish style arches, the window tops with small windows.
The slender door decorated with geometric ironwork.
The sculpted stone friezes announce his return to classicism, the Art Nouveau volutes are no longer to be found there.
The whole is in fairly good condition.
