Very imposing Art Nouveau façade which stands out completely from the other very classic buildings on the street.
Built in 1901 by architect G. Van Oenen for Mr Léopold Hofkens, it looks nothing like the other Art Nouveau houses in Antwerp.
Its facade, divided into four levels, rests on a solid hard stone base, into which are inserted two small windows and a horseshoe-shaped door.
The first floor is spectacular, framed by a large semi-circular arched window, itself divided into three openings.
The upper floors become wiser again, a frieze of mosaics decorates the top floor.
The building was listed in 1988.
