Monumental building housing the fire stations built in 1907 to the plans of Jan Van Asperen, Emiel Van Averbeke and Jan Van Mechelen.

Imposing facade with 9 bays and 4 levels.

The buildings to the left and right housed the officers' apartments.

The central building is supported by the garage doors, in a semicircular arch.

The style is geometric Art Nouveau, almost Art Deco (notably the letters BRANDWEER above the doors).

Base in hard stone, and the rest in white bricks, very balanced facade.

The statue honoring the firefighters who fell during the war was added after world war II.

Several rehabilitation projects are underway. To be continued.
