Beautiful example of Art Nouveau Liégeois.
This house at No. 29, whose elevation is classic, has typically Art Nouveau parts.
All frames and base are in sculpted hard stone, featuring the whiplash curved lines typical of the style.
The first floor balcony is particularly imposing with its very elaborate hard stone consoles.
The facade is made of red brick and has a large, well-restored sgraffito panel under the cornice illustrating a gardener in a flowery landscape.
The ironwork which adorns the tympanum of the front door and the various balconies is also faithful to the Art Nouveau style.
Architect Crahay is the author of around ten houses in this street created in 1898.
The house next door at No. 31 has Art Nouveau elements in the sculpted hard stone parts which frame the entrance door and the windows of the ground floor and the left bay.
Beautiful ironwork supports the first floor loggia.
