A house in pure Art Nouveau style, today surrounded by tall, overwhelming buildings.
It dates from the beginning of the 20th century, and was designed by architect Théobald Van Hille, the city architect. It is only 2.60 m wide, making it the narrowest house in Ostend.
All in curves inspired by old galleons, it has the coat of arms of Ostend above the rounded pediment. The curve on the first floor represents a ship's prow.
Completely restored in 2001/02 with some modifications to its origin (doors and windows), it has kept most of the original design.
Listed building since 1981.
